A Girl with s brave heart and a sound mind. She is Isuri Sathya , a 17 year old young lady from Moratuwa who is currently continuing a DEGREE along with Advance Level. Let’s hear from her about her life and how she is managing her school life and her university education. Name : Isuri Sathya. Age : 17 years Home Town : Moratuwa. Tell us about your family background : My Mother's name is rathnasheila Perera and she is an actress, performer, singer. My Father's name is kanchana and he is a businessman. Tell us about yourself and what are you doing currently: I'm currently schooling and I am doing A/L’s in the commerce stream. I am also in the year 1 Semester 2 of BA(Hons) International Business & Finance degree offered by the University of the West of Scotland conducted at Imperial College of Business Studies. What made you decide on starting an academic qualification soon after your Ordinary Level? The main reason for this decision is the high demand that I have seen for a proper, quality job which requires both academic and professional qualifications. And I wanted to fulfill all the above requirements at an early stage of my life. How did you get to know about ICBS and the degree that they offer? I wanted to do CIMA parallel to my A-levels, so I came to ICBS to inquired about the options I have. Then I realized that this is the best option for me which saves a lot of my time and cost in the journey towards becoming both academically and professionally qualified before even I reach 20 years. How are you maintaining a balance between your Advance Level studies and your Degree? Balancing a degree and school life is very challenging but I manage to do the work somehow. I am working extra hard, more than most of the students of the same age I guess. I am aware that if I give my best and endure all the hardships during these few years my future will be steady and easy. I need to state that it's a very challenging task. What are your future objectives or rather your ultimate dream? I am dreaming of starting my own business one day with the knowledge and experience I gain from my degree and from the work experience I will receive after I complete my higher education. We as a family would like to wish Isuri good luck with her future endeavours
