Omalie managing studies at ICBS & her banking career
Oshina Omalie. Started her journey with Imperial Kandy with a strong mindset of committing to her banking career as well. Let's see how she managed her 1st year of undergraduate studies at Imperial College of Business Studies Kandy Branch along with her banking career most importantly adjusting to post COVID 19 ENVIRONMENT.
I'm a past student from St.Anthony’s Girls’ College Kandy. I am following the BA HONS International Business and Finance degree at Imperial College Kandy. I started my higher education with Imperial in 2019 after my AL'sand also started my career in banking as an intern with Sampath Bank PLC.
After COVID 19 pandemic students had to adjust to an online system. In the first 2 to 3 weeks it was very challenging to me since I was working as well. But gradually eventually I started getting used to managing and organizing myself better. I have to make it a point where Imperial kept weekend classes available through the E-Learning system which helped a lot and I'm sure a lot of work professionals who had busy work schedules on the weekdays. Finally, I would like to thank ICBS and I'm very glad to be a student at Imperial College of Business Studies Kandy Branch." Oshina's story at a young age teaches us the fact that there is no passion to be found playing small--in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living. If you feel like there's something out there that you're supposed to be doing and if you have a passion for it, then stop wishing and just do it.
