PLOGGA Eco-lution'19 was an event organized by the staff and students of the ICBS. As a part of a CSR group project PLOGGA was carried out to reach the awareness of the plastic and waste pollution along the coastal lines of Sri lanka and to reduce them. As the CSR project for the year 2019, the Year 1 Semester 2 students of Imperial College of Business Studies with the approval of the management this awareness & cleaning program "PLOGGA - THE ECO-LUTION" which was held on the 29th of December ended up being a successful one. The event was participated by around 20 teams who went around the coastal line and in and around of Colombo collecting garbage at pace. The main motive of organizing such a project is to create a trend and to motivate the general public to collect trash on the way during their regular walks. Plogga has been implemented with the soul intention of influencing the public beyond the boundaries of the city and to connect everyone in a mode of passion to join hands with our Zero Plastic Concept Plogging is a combination of jogging with picking up litter (Swedish: plocka upp). It started as an organized activity in Sweden around 2016 and spread to other countries by 2018, following increased concern about plastic pollution. As a workout, it is aimed to provide variation in body movements by adding bending, squatting and stretching to the main action of running, hiking, or walking.
