The Ministry of Health has declared June 30 to July 5 as Special Dengue Prevention Week due to a sharp rise in cases. The public is urged to join cleaning campaigns to eliminate mosquito breeding grounds in homes, schools, and workplaces. Health officials, along with local authorities, are carrying out inspections and awareness programs, especially in high-risk areas. Students of Imperial College of Business Studies have also been actively contributing towards dengue prevention through their CSR projects for the past few years, taking this responsibility seriously and continuing their efforts to support the community. Hospitals have been advised to stay prepared for a possible increase in patients, ensuring enough medical supplies and staff. People are reminded to clear stagnant water from places like gutters, tanks, and flower pots. This nationwide effort aims to control the spread of dengue and prevent a larger outbreak in the coming weeks.
