Imperial’s Young Hearts Light Up a Nation in Need!

August 18, 2025

The Year 1 Semester 2 students of Imperial College of Business Studies proudly concluded their remarkable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project today, marking the final phase of a heartfelt, multi-stage initiative aimed at giving back to the community.

This inspiring journey began months ago with a vision to make a lasting impact through meaningful acts of service. The project was carried out in three impactful phases, each addressing different needs within society.

Phase 1 – Saving Lives through Blood Donation

The first chapter of the project saw students organize and participate in a successful blood donation campaign, contributing to the national blood bank and supporting patients in urgent need.

Phase 2 – Bringing Smiles to Children

The second phase focused on the renovation of a children’s ward, transforming it into a brighter and more welcoming space for young patients. This effort aimed to provide comfort, positivity, and hope for children undergoing treatment.

Phase 3 – Final Act of Care

Today, the students concluded their CSR journey with the donation of Rs. 150,000 worth of essential medicine to the National Cancer Hospital. This contribution will support patients undergoing treatment, ensuring better access to life-saving medication.

Speaking about the initiative, the students expressed gratitude for the opportunity to give back, highlighting how the project not only benefited the community but also helped them grow as compassionate and socially responsible individuals.

The CSR project stands as a testament to the values upheld by Imperial College — fostering leadership, empathy, and a commitment to making a positive difference in society.

Imperial College of Business Studies congratulates the Year 1 Semester 2 students for their dedication, teamwork, and generosity in completing this three-phase project, proving that even small groups can make a big impact when driven by purpose.
