Imperial College Kandy Campus Hosts Orientation & Activity Day for New Students
Imperial College of Business Studies – Kandy Campus recently hosted an orientation programme combined with an exciting activity day for students enrolling in the IBF, HND, and BSc Degree programmes. Held on 22nd March at the Queens Hotel in Kandy, the event aimed to warmly welcome new students and help them integrate into the ICBS community.

From Sunny Beginnings to Rainy Revelry Embracing the Unexpected at our Imperial Aurudu Festival
Picture this:
A sunlit morning, vibrant canopies, a carefully arranged food stall, and a stage adorned with traditional décor at a children’s park. The Imperial Aurudu festival had all the makings of a sunny celebration until the weather decided to surprise us with an unexpected twistAs the rain continued to bless the festival, a collective decision was made to move the remaining games outdoors, where the true magic of Aurudu awaited. The games took on a new life as stu- dents embraced the wet weather.
From lime and spoon’ to tug-of-war, every challenge became a thrilling adventure under the rain. Laughter echoed through the park as traditional games transformed into playful water activities, making memories that would be cherished for years to come.
The Rain Dance:
As the Aurudu games concluded, the Student Council took the stage. Undeterred by the rain, they per- formed a vibrant dance under the open sky. To our surprise, the rain didn’t discourage our fellow stu- dents. Instead, they eagerly joined hands, forming a jubilant circle that embraced the spirit of unity and celebration. What was initially a challenge, became the highlight of the day.
